Hello everyone,
I’m sorry I haven’t posted in quite a while. School is just demanding all my attention (and stealing all my sleep) at the moment.
As a result, this has been me in class for the past week.
Anyhow, announcement time!
I’ve been wanting to start a new section/installment/column for a while, so I thought I’d take the time to introduce it right now: I call it, UNSIGNED FIND. Here is where I will feature independent musicians that are not signed to a label. Simple enough, right?
There are so many talented musicians/artists around and it’s just impossible for everyone to get picked up by a major label or even an indie label, but it doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve a little love.
This is “indie” in the truest sense of the word, meaning “independent” (not as some genre that seems to apply to anyone and anything these days). These are the truly independent self-starters. These are the dreamers. These are people just like you and me.
Hope you’re excited! I will try to post more regularly again when everything settles down, but in the meantime there should be a post up later tonight or tomorrow. And as always, keep searching, keep scouring the Internet–youtube, myspace (ugh), iTunes–and your friend’s music libraries for new music. Part of the fun is the hunt! You never know what you’ll find!

Fun has sort of been taking the backseat to school, but it’s almost summer, so there’s always that to look forward too.
